21:00 - 22:30 - Linear perspective: basics and use in art – how to make your picture look three-dimensional Creating Art CCH X 3-4 This panel will be about linear perspective. This perspective creates an illusion of 3d-depth and distance by assuming, that groups of parallel lines go straight into special points (called vanishing points), making the drawn objects smaller they appear closer to the vanishing points, thus making objects look like they were seen by observer's eyes. This old technique is used for centuries, especially since renaissance, but many, many artists, not even furry artist only have huge problems creating proper three-dimensional illusions, simply by not-understanding, or even not-knowing basics of linear perspective, despite those basics are very simple and could be explained by middle-school mathematics.
